Friends of the Eagle Public Library

Book Store and other sales

The Friends of the Eagle Public Library used book store is located in the Library’s lobby and is open during normal library operating hours.

The Friends hold two larger used book sales during the year.  Sales and Friends of the Eagle Public Library events are announced in advance to the public through the library’s monthly newsletter.

Mission and Leadership

The mission of the Friends of the Eagle Public Library is to support and advocate for the Eagle Public Library and to promote reading and literacy in the community.  This effort is accomplished under the leadership of a dedicated, volunteer board of directors.

Anne Ritter, President

Join the Friends

Friends members support the idea that a library is a valuable community asset that needs nourishment and support above its set budget. They believe in the value of books and reading, regard a library as an impartial, reliable information center, and look upon it as a dynamic agency for the education of all.

The Friends of the Eagle Public Library  group is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that raises funds to benefit the library through book sales and memberships. If you would like to become a member of the Friends of the Eagle Public Library, contact the Friends at friendsoftheeaglelibrary@gmail.com.

Donations

Donations are accepted as described in the Eagle Public Library’s Donations Policy. Donations may be tax deductible and may qualify for a tax credit in Idaho.

Donations of physical items (books, DVDs, CDs, etc) may be placed in the aluminum bin marked “Donations” located near the library’s loading dock area behind the library.  Receipts for donations are available from the Friends of the Eagle Public Library and are in the Donation bin (under the lid). For questions regarding donations, please email the Friends at friendsoftheeaglelibrary@gmail.com.

Volunteers

Volunteers of the Friends of the Eagle Public Library process books for sale and help with other activities as needed.

If you are interested in volunteering with the Friends, we encourage you to complete the Friends of the Eagle Public Library volunteer form and return it to: Friends of the Eagle Public Library 100 Stierman Way, Eagle, Idaho  83616. Potential volunteers will be contacted as opportunities arise.
